Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 August 2026
These terms govern your use of APIs Platform and the API products we operate: IP Geolocation API, Global Data API (Country Kit) and Currency Rates API. By creating an account or using a product, you agree to them. This is the canonical document; product sites link here.
1. The service
APIs Platform provides subscription-based REST APIs. One account works across all current and future products. Each product is billed separately. We may change, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practical.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. By creating an account you confirm that. We do not knowingly offer accounts to children.
3. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address, confirm it, and keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity under your account and API keys. Notify us if you believe the account has been compromised. We may refuse, suspend or close an account that violates these terms or creates risk for the service or other customers.
4. API keys and acceptable use
API keys authenticate your requests. Do not share live keys in public repositories or client-side code that you do not control. You may not use the APIs to break the law, abuse infrastructure, scrape beyond your plan, resell raw access without our written consent, or attempt to bypass rate limits, quotas or authentication.
5. Plans, quotas and billing
Free and paid plans are described on each product site. Quotas and rate limits apply per product. Paid plans are charged in USD. Billing may be completed manually or through a payment processor such as Stripe when card checkout is enabled. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law. If a payment fails, we may downgrade or suspend access after a grace period.
6. Cancellation and account deletion
You may cancel a paid plan from the product dashboard; access continues until the end of the current billing period unless we state otherwise. To close the account itself, email support@apis-platform.com. We will delete or anonymise personal data we are not required to keep for security, accounting or law. API keys stop working when the account is closed.
7. Data, accuracy and financial use
The APIs return reference and lookup data. We aim for accuracy but do not warrant that geolocation, country reference data or exchange rates are complete, current or fit for a particular purpose — including regulated financial, compliance or emergency use. You remain responsible for how you use the responses in your application.
Currency Rates API is not financial advice, a trading venue or a money-transmission service. Quotes are informational. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for executing trades, settling payments or meeting a regulatory obligation.
When you look up an IP address that belongs to someone else, you are the controller of that request. We process the IP only to return a location estimate and do not use it to profile that person.
8. Intellectual property
We retain all rights in the platform, documentation and underlying datasets, except for the limited licence to call the APIs during an active subscription. You retain rights in your own applications. You may not copy our branding in a way that suggests endorsement.
9. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify the operator of APIs Platform against claims, damages and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the APIs, your application, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.
10. Availability
We work to keep the APIs available, but they are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Planned maintenance, third-party outages and force majeure may interrupt service. Paid plans do not include a separately documented SLA unless we publish one.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, APIs Platform is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for a claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us for the affected product in the three months before the claim.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, including the LGPD where it applies. Disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Brazil, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection venue.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date and the terms version recorded at signup will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. If a change is material, we will try to notify the email on the account.
